Amy Shohet, LCSW has worked with children, families, couples and individuals in all stages of life and through transitions and trauma. Specializing in Play Therapy, Family Therapy, and Relationship Therapy. Amy believes that connection is the key to healing.
Amy has a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University with a concentration In Maternal Child Health and a Bachelors in Psychology and Education from Mount Holyoke College, and certified teacher Nursery School- Third Grade.
Amy's 25+ years of professional experience includes: The Legal Aid Society, Legal Advocates for Children and Youth, The Bill Wilson Center, UPLIFT, StarVista, and as a certified teacher. In addition Amy worked at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in Admissions.
Amy is a Roster Child, Parent Psychotherapy Clinician, and trained in The Neurosequential Model Of Therapeutics (NMT) and Brain Spotting.
Amy is the Clinical Director of One Life Counseling Services and is a Clinical Supervisor.
Amy is an accomplished marathon runner and is an active community volunteer.
